Dyson Has Launched A $499 AI Toothbrush That Flosses For You

Dyson is taking its famous high-tech engineering out of your living room and sticking it straight into your mouth (Pause). The brand famous for futuristic vacuums and hair dryers has just unveiled the Dyson CameraJet, a premium $499 electric toothbrush that uses built-in artificial intelligence to handle flossing automatically while you brush. Equipped with a 100,000-pixel camera, a strobing light, and a system trained on nearly half a million dental images, the device scans your mouth at 28 frames per second to spot the spaces between your teeth.

The moment the onboard AI detects a gap, the toothbrush automatically fires a precise, cone-shaped burst of mouthwash directly into the target area within 100 milliseconds. The device relies on a built-in 12.5ml anti-gravity fluid tank that can spray at any angle, which automatically recharges in just three seconds whenever you set it down on its base dock. To top it all off, the handle streams live footage directly to your smartphone via the MyDyson app, giving users a literal dentist-eye view of their pearly whites in real time.

Because standard toothpaste creates too many bubbles for the optical system to see through, Dyson has even engineered its own low-foaming toothpaste and custom mouthwash formulated specifically for the device. Six years of development reportedly went into the high-tech gadget to help solve the age-old problem of people skipping out on daily flossing. Available in ceramic pink and ceramic blue, the luxury oral care setup is officially live on Dyson's storefront for anyone willing to spend half a grand on their morning routine.
