Apple Music Unveils A Vibrant Redesign Alongside A Brand New London Venue

Apple Music is getting a fresh visual look, replacing its classic note icon with a brighter, bolder logo that immediately pops off the screen. The sleek new branding arrives alongside an even bigger project for the tech giant, as Apple has officially announced the launch of its very first dedicated live performance space. Dubbed Apple Music Hall, the 600-capacity venue is set inside the iconic Battersea Power Station in London and will officially open its doors on September 28.

The space is designed to blend heritage style with serious tech, pulling inspiration from the power station's classic architecture. It features historic brickwork, fluted arches, bronze balconies, and a massive glass wall overlooking the River Thames. Inside, the hall packs a 48-speaker Spatial Audio sound system alongside a 38-foot stage that can be moved around for standard sets or in-the-round acoustic vibes. On top of hosting gigs, the entire venue is hardwired with over 16 broadcast cameras and full recording studios so artists can produce live album mixes on the spot.

Alongside the new gig hall, Apple is also moving its entire London-based Apple Music Radio crew into newly built broadcast studios right next door. This move turns the Battersea location into a massive central hub for radio hosts, global artists, and fans alike. For anyone who cannot grab a ticket to the super intimate 600-person shows, Apple plans to stream the performances worldwide directly through Apple Music.
